Dress Code

  • Dress Must be Appropriate For a School Setting
    • Length of shorts and skirts shall be determined in the following manner:
      • When the student stands up straight, the hem of his/her shorts or skirt must extend below the end of his/her fingertips
    • Prohibit clothing includes:
      • Cut-off t-shirts, tank tops, or halter tops
      • Strapless tops and dresses
      • Bare midriff tops
      • Underwear as outer wear
      • Tops which exhibit cleavage
      • Droopy pants
      • Knee length t-shirt
      • Religions, racial, or ethnic slurs
      • Promotion of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco use
      • Promotion of illegal activities
      • Hats, scarves, or wave caps
      • Sunglasses
    • Consequences
      • Students who violate these school rules will be asked:

        • To remove the item, or turn the offending item inside out
        • To leave campus to change clothes and return within an hour

          • OR

        • Provided with a generic t-shirt for the day
      • Continual abuse of the rules will result in Suspension
      • Parents will he notified each time the rules are broken and a note will be put in the student's file.
